Ghulam Q. Mir

Born in the foot of the Himalayas, in the valley of Srinagar Kashmir, famous for it’s finely knotted Persian carpets, I had a dream that my children would continue the art and its rich history and culture, that I am passionate about.  I started creating world famous carpets exclusively for our retail operation in the USA, each piece is signed with our family signature.

"I believe when your family name is woven into the rug, it has to be the best.”

In 1987, I took a big step in my life.  Working for fourteen years as a Chemical Engineer, I decided  to follow in my father’s foot steps and started a retail operation in Okemos, Michigan.  I followed the American dream. The rug weaving art started by my grandfather in a valley at the foot hills of the Himalayas in Srinagar, Kashmir.  My father continued with this family tradition by recreating world famous museum carpets.  Each carpet is signed with our family signature.

“I love creating art which expresses my heart and soul.  It gives me a deep satisfaction to provide beautiful rugs that enrich people’s lives with beautiful works of art,  and a legacy to hand down to the next generation.”
